• Elementary school field trip to Yosemite National park with Nature Bridge, November 30th- Dec 1, 2016.
Marie S. Curie grant holder, Gara Villalba, organized and coordinated a 3-day trip for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders of the Sierra Foothills Charter School, with the objective to engage children in learning about climate change and its impact on ecosystems. Nature Bridge ( https://naturebridge.org) is a a family and youth program aimed at connecting young people to nature and science via 3 to 5-day field science and environmental education programs. The planning included a preparation of the curriculum to be developed through the activities (see document Objectives Nature Bridge.
